Glentoran Football Academy is a non for profit and non-governmental organisation that uses football as a tool to address social vices such as gender inequality, hiv/aids, street children and also alleviate poverty by the use of football to provide orphans and vulnerable children with basic education, vocational training and apprenticeship to improve their lives to become responsible adults. These children are trained in collaboration with the Ghana Education Services, Sunyani Municipal Social Welfare, children learning vocational training and apprenticeship graduate as leaders who go back to the communities to become peer leaders and also help train other vulnerable children.
